My doctors appointment yesterday was a little scarier than I expected. I started off my day by waking up about a half hour before I had to be ready to go, because I went to bed really late (early) the night before. I had cramps and felt sick to my stomach, so I had to drag myself into the shower. When I got out, I was still so nervous about the appointment that I thought I was going to be sick. I pretty much just threw some clothes on and put my hair in a pony tail. Then when we got there, we ran a couple different tests. They checked my vision and hearing. I won’t go into a lot of detail about most of my appointment, because doctors appointments are pretty personal. Then came the time for shots. I was terrified. I don’t mind sharp objects, and I usually don’t mind pain. But I didn’t realize until right after my first shot that being injected with something scares me to death. My skin went from pale to white within a couple seconds. If my doctor didn’t come back with my water as soon as she did, I would have either passed out or threw up. And I was still nervous about it when I got home and was trying to sleep later last night. I couldn’t sleep on either of my sides because of my shots, and sleeping on my stomach positioned my arms in a way that still hurt my arms. So I had to sleep on my back with my arms at my sides. Then I started getting really hot and sweating, and it kept getting worse. When I eventually got to sleep, I had a dream that a tarantula bit me where I got all of my shots because thats what Kenny and I were talking about before I went to bed. So I went to bed even later than I did the night before. My skin is so sensitive that I feel sick, and my appetite is completely gone. And that doesn’t help anything at all, because I’m already underweight.
And the worst part is that I still have a couple more shots to go. UGH!
