It’s nearly spring.
The cold is so much colder when you’re trying to keep warm
With every chilling wind, a breeze curls around your neck
Only to pull tighter with acknowledgement
The sooner you accept the cold-
Accept the numbing embraces
The sooner the shivers stop
The sooner the frosty ligature around your neck is released,
The sooner you learn to live in the bitter cold.
One of my little sister’s best friends passed away this afternoon.
A thirteen year old girl named Sharon Arwood was running the mile run in her gym class when she had an athsma attack. After collapsing, she passed out and broke her neck on a bleacher, seized, and was rushed to a hospital where she passed away.
I don’t know how to cope with death, especially one so close to home. The only thing I knew how to do was hold my little sister and tell her that her friend was in a much, much more beautiful place. There is a new star in the sky tonight, and her family and friends will always be in my prayers and in the prayers of everyone who knew her.
I will never understand why these things happen.
On top of my shit.
My best friend was really sick today, throwing up and everything. Not only did she miss her exams for the day, but she has to pass a drug test tomorrow that she knows she isn’t going to pass.
Brought her:
- A medium Mountain Dew slurpee (her favorite flavor)
- An Easter egg shaped Reese’s cup (her favorite shape)
- A small cup of my sisters pee (uh yeah.)
Do I get the best friend ever award yet or what?
